Highlighting Patient Voices on World Arthritis Day 2025

On World Arthritis Day 2025, PerPrev-CID joined the global call to raise awareness of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs) – chronic conditions that affect millions across Europe and significantly impact quality of life. Focusing specifically on rheumatoid arthritis (RA), PerPrev-CID works to better understand how prevention and early intervention can change the course of the disease.

To mark the day, members of the newly formed Patient Advisory Board shared their hopes for the future of RA care and research. Many highlighted the importance of prevention, better communication, and stronger partnerships between patients and researchers to help anticipate and reduce the burden of disease. This year’s World Arthritis Day theme, "RMDreams – Achieve Your Dreams", captures that vision, imagining a future where people with RA can lead healthier, more independent lives.

With the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR), a leading patient organisation for rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and the International Foundation for Chronic Conditions in Autoimmunity (IFCCA), representing patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), PerPrev-CID is proud to amplify patient voices and foster collaboration between patients, clinicians, and researchers – turning shared dreams into real progress for those living with chronic inflammatory diseases.
